On April 8, 2025, the inaugural Guardian International Printmaking Conference (GIPC 2025) grandly opened at the Guardian Art Center in Beijing. This marks China’s first international-scale printmaking event, hosted by Guardian Art Center and co-organized by Guanlan Print Original Industry Base, Wenqi Shouyi, and Yibai Studio.
GIPC creatively integrates exhibitions, fairs, and art markets into a new transaction model, aiming to promote the development and visibility of printmaking in the art ecosystem.
The event gathers 32 top printmaking institutions and galleries from nine countries, showcasing iconic works by global masters and dynamic pieces by contemporary artists.
An “Art Market” on the second floor features experimental and expressive works by emerging artists, including Gen-Z talents from the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
"Keep Experimenting – The 8th China Youth Print Exhibition" is featured as an academic highlight, presenting the latest achievements in youth printmaking.
The opening also saw the release of the 2025 Guardian Printmaking White Paper and the annual GIPC Awards Ceremony, honoring outstanding artists and rising talents.
