Exhibition Time: November 25 - December 8, 2019

“Sculpture of the Ages: Li Xiangqun Sculpture Art Exhibition” is inaugurated at 6:00 PM on November 24, 2019, at the Guardian Art Center, No. 1 Wangfujing Street, Beijing. This exhibition is co-hosted by the China Artists Association and the Guardian Art Center, in concert with ZERO Art Center as the collaborating organizer. Mr. Fan Di’an, President of the China Artists Association and President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, provided the academic suggestions for the exhibition planning, while Mr. Zhang Zikang, Director of the CAFA Art Museum, acted as the curator. Mr. Kou Qin, the President and CEO of Guardian Investment Holdings and General Manager of Guardian Art Center, served as the chief planner.

This exhibition marked another significant solo display in the illustrious career of the esteemed artist Mr. Li Xiangqun, following his six past solo exhibitions: “Walking” (National Art Museum of China, Beijing, 2012), “City vs. Phenomenon” (The Palace Museum, Beijing, 2016), “Reconstruction” (Zuo An art gallery, Jiashan, 2017), “Together” (ZERO Art Center, Beijing, 2018), “Ru Jing” (Maritime World Culture and Art Center, Shenzhen, 2018), and “Facing North” (Red Plum Culture and Creative Park, Shenyang, 2019). This show presented a collection of his 28 quintessential works, including 10 debuts such as “Four Masters from Yuan Dynasty” (made of Han White Jade), “Walking with Winds and Clouds-1” and “Walking with Winds and Clouds -2” (made of white copper), and “The Other Shore” (made of white copper), among others.
