Exhibition Time: September 17 - October 6, 2019

“The 60 Years of My Artistic Career: The Art Exhibition of Wen Guozhang” will be held at the China Guardian Art Center from September 17 to October 6, 2019. The exhibition presents a collection of approximately the artist’s 150 quintessential pieces and offers viewers an opportunity to trace his sixty-year development in the arts. Through these works, one could gain insight into Wen Guozhang’s approach to his works as well as his life philosophy.

To some extent, this exhibition can be regarded as Wen Guozhang’s visual testimony of his six decades of artistic endeavor, which also reflects half a century of the history of the Central Academy of Fine Arts—a venerable institution that pioneered the introduction of fine arts academies in China. The curator Mr. Zhu Qingsheng shares his views that “Wen Guozhang’s paintings transcend the mundanity of everyday life. He strives to capture the essence of character and the nobility of form, thereby transforming tangible beauty into an endless expression of temperament.”
