Exhibition Time: July 6 - October 6, 2019
The Palace Museum and the Guardian Art Center jointly curate the “Select Court Stands From the Palace Museum Collection”, which commences for the general public at Guardian Art Center on July 6, 2019. It is the first time that all the Palace Museum’s collection of court stands are displayed outside the Forbidden City.
Drawing upon the extensive collection and scholarly research of the Palace Museum, the exhibition spotlights the court stands among the numerous furnishings of the Qing imperial palace. It showcases a distinguished selection of 132 exhibits that span the broad spectrum of categories these court stands, elucidating the diversity of their stylistic designs and functions. Visitors are offered the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the ancient artisans’ sublime craftsmanship, to appreciate closely the splendor of court art, and to delight in the ingenuity of the past.
