Since 1979 that Alberto SANTOS has earned a reputation of being a leading dealer in Chinese porcelain in the international world of fine antiques first as gallery owner in London and since 1999 as a private dealer at international shows in the United States and Asia.

Combining his passion for travelling and Chinese porcelain he searches continuously the world in order to find the best and rarest objects for his discerning private collectors, museums, interior designers and fellow art dealers in Europe, Americas and Asia.

Selling Chinese porcelain, whether an inexpensive item for a few hundred pounds/dollars or a unique one for much more, he strives always to offer high quality and rare pieces at a fair price, attractive to both new and seasoned collectors.

His stock covers the full range of Chinese ceramics and porcelain:

a) under-glaze cobalt blue (qinghua), from the Ming and Qing;

b) translucent enamels of the Famille Verte (wucai) palette, from the Ming and Qing;

c) Imari palette (under-glaze cobalt blue and over-glaze iron red and gilt) from the Qing;

d) opaque enamels of the Famille Rose (fencai) palette, being with the traditional Chinese decoration or with European/American subjects and armorials, from the Qing;

e) mark and period porcelain from the Ming and Qing dynasties;

f) early ceramics from the Song, Jin and Yuan dynasties.

From 2005 until 2010 he worked with an international team in the definitive work of porcelain ordered by the Portuguese market since the early days of 1520’s until the end of the Qing dynasty in 1911.
