The department of rare books, rubbing and manuscripts is one of the most ancient and favoured category for collectors, but also a place full of legends. Mr Tuo Xiaotang is a veritable specialist in the realm of Chinese rare books collection for more than twenty years in China Guardian. He managed to organise the first normative auction of rare books, rubbing and manuscripts in China in 1994. On the occasion of GFAA 2017, Guardian Press invited Mr Tuo to talk about his stories and the legends of rare books, rubbing and manuscripts in China Guardian.
