Preface

Junzi’s Study” refers to a Chinese style study where Junzi pursue their study there.

The Jun of Junzi should come first, which was respectfully referred to as “you” in Chinese tradition. In a study, there should be you in the first place——a person with noble character. Besides you and I, there are literati and poets seemingly walking around and traditional Chinese classics on bookshelves. In the moment, Junzi Study is a place of civilization inheritance and a place converging countless you——friends with noble character.
The Zi of Junzi should come second. Now people regard “Zi” as children, but in Chinese tradition, “Zi” often refer to the saints. If we do a traversing association, children are the hope of future, but should not be the saints of future. Study is a place for the mind exchange with children.
Books have the special book scent. Surrounded by the pervasive scent, we can vaguely reach the readable universe through the words and lines. The book scent of “ORIENTATIONS”, the seal scent of “Shigongfang” marked on the book and the scent of “Xiangyi” filled with the space all contribute to the beauty of the study exhibited this time.
There are books, bookshelves, a long desk, a bed, a screen and couplets in the study. Here “Wanqiantang” and “No. 01 Study” create a place through ancient and modern world for us. Among the faint tweedle, Ms. Diandian from ORIENTATIONS said, there should be two rooms in a home, study and kitchen, which are the charging place for our stomach and brain.

This is our Chinese study, a spiritual study of Junzi.
