Chinese Ink Year Book” Event Month — What Are We Talking About When Discussing “Ink”?
In April 2021, the Organizing Committee of the “Chinese Ink Year Book” in collaboration with the National Art and Culture Policy Research Institute of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and other institutions, launched the “Chinese Ink Year Book” event month. The event organized three forums with the themes: “Chinese Painting or Ink and Wash Painting”, “The Female Space in Ink and Wash”, and “Chinese Contemporary Ink and Wash in the Global Art Market”. By combining online and offline methods, the forums concentrate on the creation, research, marketing, and collection of ink and wash art. The events gather veteran practitioners from the art industry ecosystem, including creators, curators, researchers, publishers, media professionals, collectors, and marketers, to collectively deliberate on the exploration and direction of Chinese ink and wash art in the present context.
