On March 14th, the Guangyu Salon is held at the Guardian Art Center featuring a lecture by the renowned writer and screenwriter Mr. Ah Cheng, titled “The Light of Guangyu—What He Created Reflects What He Saw”. Mr. Ah Cheng will commence from the broad background of the time, delving deeply into how Mr. Zhang Guangyu embodied the concept of “what he created reflects what he saw” in his artistic creations. He will explain why Zhang Guangyu’s work did not sever ties with tradition but instead amalgamated modern ideas into his being, allowing for a fusion of the old and the new that favored gradual reform and enabled the continuity of cultural lineage. This integration and evolution are referred to as “The Light of Guangyu”.
